ELIGIBILITY |
Any student residing in the
Houston/Galveston Metro area.
Junior Division: Students not age 15 (as of 09/01/08)
Senior Division: Students age 15 thru 19 (as of 09/01/08)
Categories: 1) Wind & Percussion
2) Piano
3) String |
|
| REPERTOIRE |
Any
movement of a large scale work for solo instrument and orchestra that is
available and in the public domain.
Performances must be limited to no more than 12 minutes.
Playing from memory is suggested but not required.
Contestant must arrange for piano accompaniment for themselves. |

| AWARDS |
Judges
will look to award a junior division & senior division scholarship in
each of the three categories (a total of six awards).
Judges reserve the right to withhold an award, as they see fit.
Winners are invited to perform with the Clear Lake Symphony at its concert
on Saturday, March 28,2009. |

There is a $40 non-refundable application fee, payable to the Clear Lake
Symphony.
All applications must be post marked by January 21, 2009.
